Download the eAccounts app from the app stores and add your mobile Hill Card to Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet to use all over campus.

With the mobile Hill Card, 51ÁÔÆæ community members can use their iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android phone to conveniently, safely, and securely access campus buildings, get meals, purchase items on campus, and more.

Getting Started

There is minimal set-up required to use Mobile Credential. Most users can begin using their Hill Card on their phones in minutes. If you already have the eAccounts app, you’ll need to delete it and reinstall it to download the mobile pass.

  • iPhone: iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus or later; iOS 12.2 or later
  • Apple Watch: Series 1 or later, and watchOS 5.2 or later
  • Android: version 5.0 or later
Set-Up

Setting up Mobile Credential on Apple iPhone or Watch

  1. Download the to your phone.
  2. Swipe through the four introductory screens and tap Get Started.
  3. Search for 51ÁÔÆæ and click through to the login screen.
  4. Log in with your 51ÁÔÆæ credentials.
  5. Next, enter your Login Code to authenticate your device.
  6. Once you’ve authenticated, you’ll see your Hill Card account along with any related transaction history.
  7. Click the Add to Apple Wallet button at the top right to add your Hill Card. You can provision credentials for your iPhone and your Apple Watch (one of each per student).
    1. Click iPhone and continue through the prompts (Next, Agree to Terms & Conditions).
    2. When the process is complete, the app will send a notification to verify your Hill Card has been added to the Wallet.
    3. Tap Done in the upper right corner to return to the Home screen of the app.
    4. You can now add your Apple Watch using the same process.

Using Mobile Credential on your Apple Device

  • Your device must be powered on, but it does not have to be connected to a network. Some devices (iPhone X models) will still work for a period of time after your battery has been depleted.
  • The Hill Card readers are sensitive to the position of your device. Hold the top of your iPhone near a reader to use your Hill Card, or your Apple Watch near the reader.
  • For iPhones released after the 6/6 Plus, Express Mode allows you to use your Hill Card without unlocking the device with a passcode, Touch ID or Face ID. Just tap your device against the reader to recognize your Hill Card. For iPhone 6/6 Plus, you’ll need to double-click the Home button, tap your default payment card and select your Hill Card. Verify your identity with Touch ID then hold the top of your phone near the reader.
  • To display your Hill Card, open Apple Wallet and select your Hill Card from your saved cards.
  • To add funds to your accounts in the eAccounts app, save a payment method in Hill Card Online first. Make a deposit via your desktop or mobile browser and once you’ve completed the deposit, there will be an option to save your credit card information. Once you have added the card information in Hill Card Online, that card  will be available in the eAccounts app for future deposits. If you’ve already used eAccounts to access your mobile credential, you’ll need to sign out and back in to update the saved payment information.
  • Contact information for the Hill Card Office is also available from the Hill Card menu in the Apple Wallet.

Setting up Mobile Credential on Android

  1. NFC needs to be available on your phone and active for Hill Card Mobile. If you’re not sure if your phone has NFC and if it’s enabled, go to your Settings menu and look for NFC. It may be under Connected Devices> Connection Settings on some phones. (If you can’t find it, use the search option on the top right to double check.) Once you find it, toggle the setting to On.
  2. Next, open Google Pay and make sure it’s enabled as well. If you don’t have Google Pay on your phone, you can download it free in the Play Store. If the app prompts you to add a credit card, you can bypass that screen and return to the Google Pay home screen.
  3. Download the  from Transact Campus and install it.
  4. Open eAccounts, click through the start up prompts and tap Get Started.
  5. Find 51ÁÔÆæ and continue to the login screen.
  6. Log in with your 51ÁÔÆæ credentials and enter your Login Code to authenticate your device.
  7. Once you’ve successfully authenticated, you’ll see your Hill Card account along with any related transaction history.
  8. Click the Add to Google Pay button to add your Hill Card to the Google Wallet.
    1. Continue through the prompts and accept the 51ÁÔÆæ Terms and Conditions
    2. Next, accept the Google Pay terms of service
    3. The next screen will confirm your Hill Card has been added to Google Pay

Using Mobile Credential on Android

  • You don’t need to unlock your phone, but the screen must be awake to use your Hill Card. Tap the power button to wake the screen and tap your phone against the reader. Note, the antenna location may vary by device, but is often in the middle of the phone. You may have to experiment with your phone to find the correct tap location to recognize your mobile credential.
  • To display your Hill Card, open the eAccounts app and select the View in Google Pay icon.
  • To add funds to your accounts in the eAccounts app, save a payment method in Hill Card Online first. Make a deposit via your desktop or mobile browser and once you’ve completed the deposit, there will be an option to save your credit card information. Once you have added the card information in Hill Card Online, that card will be available in the eAccounts app for future deposits. If you’ve already used eAccounts to access your mobile credential, you’ll need to sign out and back in to update the saved payment information.

General Questions

We recommend you retain your physical Hill Card in a secure location as a back-up, should you lose or damage a device.

Yes, your physical Hill Card will continue to function after you have added your Hill Card to your device. Remember, the Mobile Hill Card is a privilege and benefit of being part of the 51ÁÔÆæ community.

If you have any of the iPhone XS, XS Max, or XR models, yes. Express Mode with power reserve is available for up to five hours when your phone needs to be charged.  (For more details, see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208965.) Android phones and other iPhone models (iPhone 8 and earlier) do not offer this feature.

As with your physical Hill Card, your mobile credential will become inactive, and any remaining balance on the card will be refunded to you.

First, you need to go to the Hill Card office or Campus Safety with a valid, government-issued ID and fill out the Pub ID form.

You will need to follow the same steps as adding your mobile Hill Card. More details to come.

From your device, tap: Settings>About Phone>Software Information.

To update, from your device tap: Settings >General >Software Update >Download >Install >Passcode may be required.

Your device will display the estimated download time.

eAccounts Questions

Yes, you will need to install the updated version of the eAccounts mobile app.

On your device, visit the App Store or Google Play Store and search eAccounts. The store will prompt you to install any required updates.
