Special Requests/Accomodations

When you select on-campus housing during your registration process, you'll have an Additional Information section where you can add requests about your room type, location, planned roommates, or any other information you think we should know. We will take this into consideration and try our absolute best to accommodate you, but thank you for your understanding that we may not be able to honor your requests depending on availability of rooms.

You can pick your roommates, not your room — though you're welcome to ask! We understand that specific rooms or residence halls may hold significance for you, but there is a good chance you won't be exactly where you request. Keep in mind, we cluster class years together, so if you do request a location, you may wind up separated from classmates.

The True Dorm Experience

On-campus housing is limited in amenities, so plan accordingly. Beds are twin beds, some are bunk beds. There are shared bathrooms and limited climate control. Of course, this isn't the most suitable or comfortable option for everyone, and a list of local hotels is available for you to book elsewhere for the weekend.

Packages with the following items will be provided on each bed: two towels (slightly larger than hand towels in size), one washcloth, top and bottom sheets, one blanket, one pillowcase, and one pillow. Anything else should be brought from home. You may want extra blankets, a fan, a bathrobe, shower sandals — is this jogging your memory of college living? Embrace it and have fun!

Rooming With Friends

If you plan to share a room with one or more friends, designate one person to register for on-campus housing as part of their reunion registration process. That person will select the room type with the appropriate number of beds, then in the Additional Information box in the housing section, they will list the alumni/guests who will be sharing that room.

The housing registrant will pick up the room keys with their registration packet when they arrive on campus and distribute them — so use your most responsible friend!

All alumni must be registered for Reunion Weekend in order to be placed in housing. If a friend adds you to their housing registration, you still need to complete your own registration for the weekend and select your meals, etc.

Family Housing

In the on-campus housing section of registration, select the room type with the number of beds you'll need for each member of the family. For example, a family with two kids would need a quad. But two parents who are bringing a pack-n-play for their toddler would only need a double.

Families requiring more than 4 beds should contact our Housing Coordinator at hamdorm@hamilton.edu.

During the room assignment process, we are mindful of finding the best possible placements for families with children. We're here to help, so contact us with questions at hamdorm@hamilton.edu

If you prefer off-campus accommodations, please directly contact one of the hotels on our accommodations page.
