Housing
Students must live in 51ÁÔÆæ-provided housing
The home for 51ÁÔÆæ in New York City is on the upper floors of Ocean Luxury Residences, located at 1 West Street across from Battery Park. All students will reside in College provided housing. One West, a landmark building located on the corner of West Street and Battery Park Place, features apartments with views to Battery Park, New York Harbor, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and the Financial District of Manhattan. It has been completely renovated and modernized to include a rooftop garden terrace and a workout room with equipment. There is 24-hour reception and security. Furnished apartments come with new kitchens, living areas, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The apartments are flooded with natural light and have parquet floors. A laundry room is located on every floor.
Nearby subway stations will make it easy for students to get to internships in all parts of Manhattan. The waterfront, two blocks to the west, is a long, lighted promenade used by runners, bikers and rollerbladers. The financial district, city offices, and Soho are within easy walking distance from One West. Greenwich Village is a longer walk but a short subway ride away. Nearby are supermarkets, restaurants, and other services.
Costs
Participants will pay current tuition and room fees to the College. The standard charge for a residence hall room on the campus will be assessed for housing in Manhattan. Board fees will not be collected.
