Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy through the Office of Scientific Computing, the fellowship supports full-time doctoral study in the U.S. in an applied science or engineering discipline with applications in high-performance computing.
Eligibility
  • Support of this fellowship is limited to 4 years and must be renewed each year.
  • Students must be planning full-time, uninterrupted PhD study in the life, physical, engineering, and mathematical sciences at a U.S. university.
  • Applicants must be either U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens who are exceptional senior undergraduates OR in their first or second year of graduate study.
Amount and Duration

Fellowships are granted for one-year renewable terms from September 1 through August 31 of each Support of this fellowship is limited to 4 years and must be renewed each year. This fellowship can cover up to 48 months of graduate study. These fellowships will provide tuition, fees, a yearly stipend of $31,200, an allowance of $1,000 annually for research, and up to $2,500 for a computer workstation.

Postmarked by January 10.
