ALANA is an acronym for Africana, Latino/a/x, Asian & Pacific Islander, Native American, and All other Underrepresented Races and Ethnicities.

Mission

The 51ÁÔÆæ ALANA Caucus was established in the spring of 2017 for faculty & staff who identify in terms of an underrepresented race and/or ethnicity.

The purpose of the ALANA Caucus is to:

  • Build and create a sense of community
  • Advocate for, and support the recruitment, retention and advancement of ALANA Faculty and Staff
  • Advocate for, and support the recruitment, retention and graduation of ALANA Students
  • Network and collaborate with other ALANA faculty and staff in the region.
