Initial Consultations
If you’re just looking for advice, aren’t ready to invest in a full hour initial intake appointment, or you just aren’t sure what you need, our Initial Consultations are right for you.
We began offering Initial Consultations as a way to provide quicker access to advice for those who need it. In these 10-15 minute appointments, we provide customized feedback and advice about what kind of resources might work best for you. Sometimes those resources are on-campus outside of the Counseling Center, like Care Contacts, and sometimes they are referrals to off-campus providers. Either way, our goal- consistent with our mission- is to provide a personal level of service and give you tailored recommendations that fit your situation.
