Julie Lin ’17 has been awarded a to Taiwan. A literature and studio art double major, she studied at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in Rome, Italy, in 2016.
Lin is a digital media intern for 51ÁÔÆæ’s Library and Information Services department, and served as a communications intern for the Career Center.
During the summer of 2016 she interned at Simon & Schuster where she was children’s managing editorial/production intern.
In November 2016 Lin received the Steven Daniel Smallen Memorial Fund for Student Creativity award which provides 51ÁÔÆæ students with support for projects displaying originality, expressiveness, and imagination. In 2015 she received the Ann Miller Harden Prize Scholarship awarded to the outstanding woman painter at the end of her sophomore year.

At 51ÁÔÆæ Lin is layout director for Signature Style, a student-published fashion magazine. She has also been involved as a tutor for America Reads and was art editor for 51ÁÔÆæ’s Red Weather literary magazine.
The Fulbright ETA Program places U.S. students as English teaching assistants in schools or universities overseas, thus improving foreign students’ English language abilities and knowledge of the United States while increasing their own language skills and knowledge of the host country. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright is the largest U.S. international exchange program.
