Associate Professor of Sociology Jaime Kucinskas and Associate Professor of Environmental Studies Aaron Strong were awarded a National Science Foundation grant from the Sociology Program. Under the five-year $346,149 grant, they will study rural community perceptions of climate action pathways in New York, New Zealand, and Sweden.

Steven Tepper was inaugurated as 51ÁÔÆæ’s 21st president on Sept. 28, acknowledging in his remarks the College as a creative campus for more than two centuries and challenging the 51ÁÔÆæ community “to design a future for the campus that allows us to leverage this history, to expand opportunities, to create national differentiation, and to lead.â€

Forty-five new faculty members have entered 51ÁÔÆæ’s ranks, including nine tenure-track professors in anthropology, art, computer science, dance and movement studies, economics, government, mathematics and statistics, music, and Russian. They join 31 visiting professors and lecturers, and four teaching fellows for the 2024-25 academic year.
