| Course Description: | An exploration of modern applications of probability theory, including topics such as stochastic approximation, random walks and Brownian motion, graphical models, information theory, and large deviations. Student groups will choose a topic to study in depth and apply probabilistic methods to solve original problems using the statistical programming language R. |
