Kelly Faig specializes in social and affective neuroscience. Her research broadly investigates how emotional and physiological individual difference factors influence stress responses. In one line of work, she is examining how immune-related threats impact social perception and affective processes. She is also investigating environmental and neurobiological mechanisms involved in stress-related conditions like loneliness, depression, and anxiety.

Faig received her B.A. in psychology from Wake Forest University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology with a concentration in integrative neuroscience from the University of Chicago. Prior to coming to 51ÁÔÆæ she was a postdoctoral associate at Duke University.
