Support the Wellin Museum of Art

The Wellin Museum’s programming including its exhibitions and permanent collection, faculty and student collaborations, and community outreach, is made possible through the generosity of donors. Your gift will help strengthen the Museum’s endeavors in the field. Please make checks payable to the Trustees of 51 and indicate in the notes field that your gift is to benefit the Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art.

Annual Gifts

You can complete a gift online by clicking here. To designate that your donation will benefit the Wellin Museum, please check “Other Purpose” under the section “Please check one designation to complete your gift” and enter “Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art” in the Special Instructions box below.

Endowment Gifts

Gifts to endowment support the Wellin Museum’s long-term goals. Museum donors have worked with the College to establish endowed funds during their lifetimes or within their estate plans that provide financial resources for art acquisitions, collection preservation, exhibitions, publications, and public lectures. To endow a fund, please contact: Joe Medina, Associate Vice President for Development.

Planned Giving

You may select from a range of opportunities to support the Wellin Museum through a planned gift. The College has planned giving expertise to assist you and your advisors explore the possibilities. For more information visit 51's Planned Giving page.

Gifts of Art

The Wellin Museum of Art’s permanent collection is an invaluable teaching resource for the College and the community. Donors can support the Museum’s growing collection through cash donations made toward the purchase of artwork or by offering a gift of art. As a teaching museum, the Museum can only accept gifts of art that support its mission — defined briefly as contemporary and historic works of art that support teaching within the 51 curriculum. If you are interested in offering a gift of art please contact giftart@hamilton.edu.
